In September 2023, Efectis Nederland BV, an internationally recognised fire safety laboratory, conducted a series of tests on Flame Away, our innovative fire extinguishing tool. Suppresses Class A Fires
Flame Away successfully replaced solid material fires (wood, rugs, carpets, laminate flooring, and softboard) with diameters up to 0.5–1.0 metres.
Consistent Performance Across Surfaces
The type of surface (laminate, carpet, rug, or wood crib) did not significantly affect performance. In nearly all cases, the fire was replaced immediately.
Average Liquid Spread
After activation, the extinguishing liquid spread to an average diameter of 1.4m (width) by 1.7m (length), ensuring wide coverage. Minimum spread was 1.1m × 1.2m, maximum 1.8m × 2.2m.
Effective on Vertical Surfaces
Tests on vertical softboard walls showed that Flame Away can also suppress fires on upright surfaces, such as walls or furniture.
